Listen up metal heads. The history of heavy metal, one of the most enduring forms of popular music culture, has been documented in a new DVD that has just been unleashed – Heavy Metal: Louder Than Life.

The film explores the early beginnings of metal with pioneering acts such as Black Sabbath in the 70s, Metallica and Pantera in the 80s and 90s, right through to the more recent nu-metal phase led by Korn. Also includes appearances from metal legends such as Iron Maiden, Kiss, Judas Priest, Thin Lizzy, Motörhead, Megadeth, Dio, and Napalm Death.

To top it off, a bonus DVD is included with loads of rare and unseen footage including oodles of stories and confessions as told by bands, journalists, producers and fans. Metal fans will lap this one up!
