Distorted reality

Rev Run has coined and combined his image, music, beliefs and stat attack into this one. Run does swing his god axe heavily, which may not be everyone’s trip but as far as general consumption goes, a few things pull this album through.

A) There’s enough of that binding self indulgent conviction and attitude that the hip hop genre relies upon to function effectively to pull the brimstone through into a palpable matter. B) Run and producer Whiteboy maintain some genuinely cooking beats, crunching DMC styled guitar riffs and some undeniably skilled wordsmithing.

Distortion doubles as a DVD. ‘Behind the Scenes’ footage consists of Run telling you why his albums so dope and how if you liked Run DMC you’re gonna love this cause its old school and its real. No lack of bravado or beats but 30 degrees right of pious.
