Coalition of the classy
Consisting of bass-player / beat maker Toxic Al, DJ Affix and vocalist Yuin Huzami this Brisbane-based three piece rap, scratch and scuff their way through thirteen classy cutz here. JJJ’s Myf Warhurst just recently scored this her album of the week and deservedly so. Featuring appearances from everyone from Lazy Grey to Robby Balboa, “The Coalition Crew” is an accurate indication of the new sweep of Hilltop Hood-esque styled Australian Hip Hop dusted with streaks of Queensland colour, slant rhymes drop in on dunk beats and slick production. With no quasi-American accents, over extended bravado or over indulgent bling bling cockstruts, genuine intent is delivered here with deft aplomb. One to be proud of.
