In full flight Fame! Irene Cara sang about it, Judith Lucy wants to start paying for it...in buckets of sweat. From the moment she split leaps onto the stage and kicks off her high heels to the infamous theme song of the hit eighties TV series, "Fame", Judith Lucy delivers a show that belies her petite frame. She is witty and she is sarcastic. Some even think she is a comic genius. One thing is certain - Judith Lucy is outrageously funny. I'm Going To Learn How To Fly is a show dedicated to some of Hollywood's finest moments. Judith Lucy (a.k.a. 'Jude Lu', as in 'J Lo') delivers a running commentary on the stars that regularly gloss magazine covers. She confronts Hollywood's most significant conundrums . . . . . How many skin care products does Marcus Graham own? Why did Angelina Jolie fly half way around the world to only sleep next to Billy Bob? Was it really so she could listen to him breathe? And, ultimately. . . . Why is Pamela Anderson more famous than Judith Lucy? >>>

Judith Lucy delivers a show that is punchy and fast-paced with non-stop humour that runs for well over an hour. She presents a succession of hilarious punch lines, seeming not to skip a beat, except to grab a glass of water allowing the audience to savour the previous punch line. Throughout the show she encourages audience participation, inviting them to solve Hollywood's more perplexing questions such as "Did you really think there was chemistry between Penelope and Tom Cruise in Vanilla Sky?" And, "Could you see any indication that Nicole and Tom were going to split in Eyes Wide Shut?" It is through audience interaction that she exposes the spontaneous wit that is the driving force behind the rehearsed lines in "I'm Going To Learn How To Fly". This is particularly evident during the audience participation in her own 'In Style' interview, comparing the answers of Hollywood stars to those of the average person to crucial questions like "What skin care products do you own?" Trivia: Marcus Graham responded that he has a vast array of skin care products ranging from cleanser to moisturizer, whilst a Melbourne truck driver's response was that he owned tinea cream. Not to diminish from the total brilliance of the show, one of the highlights, and certainly an instance where Ms Lucy displayed pure comic genius, was the moment she was confronted by an overexcited (and somewhat drunken) heckler. Not only did she manage to strip the raucous attention seeker of all dignity with one cunning comment, she also demonstrated to all one of the many reasons why, after eleven years, she continues to dominate the Australian stand-up comedy scene.
