There’s no such thing as a Gruffalo, is there?

Come along if you please this show can’t be missed
Ages 3 and up will love every minute, I insist

Until 10 July at the Seymour Centre
Kids shall be entertained by a magical inventor

The characters to be seen are a real big treat
Singing and dancing will have every kid up on their feet

The stage will be set; Fox, Snake and Owl have been invited
With crazy characters like these who could not be excited

As the storybook goes, a Gruffalo is to be met
He’s very hard to find so you might have to inspect

There’s no need to worry, you won’t be alone
I hear a little mouse is willing to chaperone

Crystal Hegedis plays the timid little Mouse
In order to find some food she has left her house

The day that ensues is highly unexpected
A flaw she once feared is masterfully perfected

Now before you enter the deep dark wood
There are a few things that must be understood

The Gruffalo in question might not be very friendly
The attire he fashions is anything but trendy

As the little mouse warns, you have to beware
He has lots features that are most likely to scare

Stephen Anderson plays the Fox, the Owl and the Snake
Entertaining audiences with a growl, a hoot and a shake

If the simple mention of the Gruffalo can scare him up a tree
What do you think it will do to kids over 3?

The grizzly Gruffalo played by Simon van der Stap
Is sure to lure all the kids into his dark beastly trap

Is he real or imaginary this illusive Gruffalo?
If you don’t come and see you may never know

So do yourself a favour and bring the kids along
Choosing a show like this will do you no wrong.
